Clio, MI
RV Dealers in Clio, MI
Clio is a small town with a short list of RV lots, which makes the shopping easy to scope out. Three dealerships sit in town and another nine are within a reasonable drive. The average rating here is 4.4, so you are not scraping the bottom of the barrel. I have bought two RVs and walked away from a third, and I would start with the smaller lot on this list before hitting the big-volume store.

What is on the lot
The three Clio dealerships break down by type: one used dealer, one motorhome dealer, and two travel-trailer dealers, with some overlap. Leisure Days Travel Trailer Sales focuses on travel trailers and earns a 4.7 from 144 reviews. TradeWinds RV Center is the larger operation with new and used motorhomes and travel trailers, plus financing, service, parts, and trade-ins, though its 4.1 from 500 reviews suggests a mixed bag. Zach Ingram Your rv specialist has no rating yet, so treat it as an unknown. Two of the three offer financing. If you want a travel trailer, you have options. For a motorhome, TradeWinds is the main game in town.
Before you make the drive
Call ahead and confirm the specific unit is still on the lot. I learned that one the hard way after a two-hour drive to see a travel trailer that had sold the day before. Ask for the stock number and a few photos, especially of the tires and roof. If you are financing, get pre-approved by your own bank or credit union before you talk numbers at the dealership. And check the service department hours and backlog. A busy shop can mean a long wait for warranty work. TradeWinds has service and parts on site, which is convenient, but ask how far out they are booked.
Clio and around
Clio sits in Genesee County, north of Flint, with easy access to I-75. That puts you close to Flint amenities and within reach of the Flint River and some outdoor recreation. Nine other dealerships are nearby, so you can expand your search without going all the way to Detroit. If you are buying off-season, you may find more room to negotiate and shorter service lines. Always get a pre-purchase inspection from an independent RV tech, even on a new unit. And do a full walk-through at delivery with everything hooked up: water, power, slides, awning, and appliances. I skipped that on my first RV and paid for it later.
