About Grit Overland
Grit Overland builds adventure camper vans on Ford Transit AWD out of a shop in Washougal, using TIG-welded aluminum construction and 12V systems without wood frames. The S2 and S4 models have pop-top capability. It's a builder, not a middleman lot, so you work with the people who put the vans together. The reviews land where you'd hope. People praise the build quality and the Ford Transit platform, and several mention Kirk in sales and Jack on the service side by name, calling them helpful and responsive long after pickup. One owner drove nine months cross country before a wiring harness came loose, and the team got it sorted. Others describe the simple layout and easy driving as what sold them. Beyond vans, they handle install and service for Aluminess, Backwoods Adventure Mods, Dometic and bumper and winch work, plus Class B RV repair and custom 12 volt electrical. They rate 4.8 across 42 Google reviews. Shop hours are posted, so check before you drive out. Van tours are available if you want to see a build up close.
