What sets the top lots apart
San Diego RV Sales earns a 4.8 from 25 reviews and handles both motorhomes and travel trailers, with trade and delivery options. Rv Rentals Way of Life holds a perfect 5.0 from 8 reviews and offers used, motorhome, and travel trailer inventory plus delivery. Stress Free RVs has a 4.3 from 103 reviews, showing consignment and delivery. California RV Sales LLC scores 4.8 from just 4 reviews, and Camping World San Diego sits at 3.5 from 423 reviews with financing, service, parts, and consignment.
Used inventory is limited
Three of the five lots list used units, and all five carry travel trailers and motorhomes. If you want a used trailer, call ahead to confirm what is on the lot that day. Used units move quickly, and the photos online may be outdated. Ask for the stock number and the date the unit arrived. Then check the tires, the roof seals, and the date codes on the propane tanks. A pre-purchase inspection by an independent RV technician is worth the cost on any used trailer, even one from a lot with a good rating.
Financing and service
Only one of the five San Diego lots lists financing, so plan to get pre-approved by your own bank or credit union before you shop. That gives you a number to work with and keeps the conversation on the trailer, not the payment. Service is listed at just one lot, Camping World, which also handles parts. For a travel trailer, ask about the walk-through at delivery. That is when they show you the water heater, the slide operation, and the weight distribution hitch. If they rush it, that tells you something about the service department.
