RV Dealers in Wheat Ridge, CO
Wheat Ridge sits on the west edge of the Denver metro, where I-70 heads for the mountains. Five RV dealerships call this city home and another twelve are a short drive away. The average rating here is 4.4, which fits what I have seen on lots around town. I have bought two RVs in my life and walked away from a third, so I know a thing or two about what to check before you sign.

What to Expect on the Lots
You will find a mix of inventory. Four of the five dealers here carry travel trailers, three offer motorhomes, and three stock used units. Four of the five also offer financing, so you can shop rates on site. The two biggest names, Blue Compass RV Wheat Ridge and Camping World, have large review counts, which tells you they move a lot of units. Smaller places like Timeless Travel Trailers and Vandemic Campervans may give you more attention if you want something specific. Take a walk through the service department before you get attached to a rig. The shop tells you more about a dealership than the sales floor does.
Where to Look First
Timeless Travel Trailers has the highest rating at 4.7 from 37 reviews, and it focuses on travel trailers. If you want a motorhome, Blue Compass or Camping World are your best bets, though both have their share of mixed reviews. Trailer Source carries new and used units and offers delivery. Vandemic Campervans is a small operation with only 22 reviews, but it might be worth a call if you want a campervan. I always suggest getting a pre-purchase inspection from an independent mechanic, even on a new unit. It is money well spent.
Buying Advice from Someone Who Has Done It
Get pre-approved for financing from your own bank or credit union before you walk in. It gives you a baseline and keeps the conversation focused on the out-the-door price. Off-season shopping in late fall or winter can work in your favor, but avoid the temptation to rush. I walked away from a third deal because the walk-through revealed a soft spot in the floor that the salesperson glossed over. Insist on a thorough demonstration of every system at delivery, and do not sign until you are satisfied. The nearby foothills and mountain parks make for a good shakedown trip close to home.
