Gilroy, CA
RV Dealers in Gilroy, CA
Gilroy sits at the southern edge of Santa Clara County, where the outlets and garlic festival draw crowds but the real prize for RV shoppers is a small cluster of dealers. Three lots call the city home, and another seven sit within easy reach. The average rating here is 4.5, which tells you most people leave satisfied. I have bought two RVs and walked away from a third, so I know when to keep driving. Here is how the local options stack up.

The local lineup
Happy Daze RV - Gilroy is the volume player, with 67 reviews and a 4.0 rating. They carry used units, motorhomes, and travel trailers, and they run a service department plus a parts counter. That matters after the sale. Family RV holds a perfect 5.0 from a single review, so treat that score as a hint, not a verdict. Mickey's RV Center has no rating yet, which means you are walking in cold. Call ahead to confirm hours and inventory before you make the drive. I once burned a Saturday on a lot that had sold the rig I wanted the day before.
What to check on the lot
With three dealers in town and seven more nearby, you can afford to be choosy. Ask for the build sheet and the maintenance log on any used unit. A pre-purchase inspection by an independent RV tech costs money but catches water damage and tired tires that a sales walk-through will not. At delivery, test every appliance, slide, and faucet with water in the tank. Get financing pre-approval from your own bank before you talk numbers. And check the service department's backlog, because a busy shop tells you something about how the brand holds up.
Timing and nearby options
Late fall and winter are slower at California lots, and sales staff have more time for you. That is also when last year's models get discounted. If the three Gilroy stores do not have your floor plan, the seven nearby dealers widen the search without a long haul. The outlets and the garlic festival bring traffic through town, so plan your visit around those weekends if you want a quieter lot. I bought my second trailer in January and saved enough to cover a season of campground fees.
