Where to start your search
Bobby Combs RV Center on the north end earns the best marks in town at 4.5 from 189 reviews, and its lot covers new and used motorhomes plus trailers, with service, parts, and consignment under one roof. Camping World draws the biggest crowd by far with 1,791 reviews and a 4.3 average, which tells you it moves volume and sees a lot of shoppers. RV Country and Trades OK both sit at 4.2 to 4.3 on smaller review counts, and Trades OK is the one to note if you want to trade in your current rig toward a used coach.
Buying used in Coburg
Every dealer in town lists used motorhomes, so the used market is where most of the choice lives. That works in your favor on price but puts the burden on you to inspect carefully. Ask for the maintenance records, check the date codes on the tires, and run the generator and every appliance yourself before money changes hands. A pre-purchase inspection from an independent RV tech costs a few hundred dollars and is money well spent on any coach you are serious about. The service departments at Bobby Combs and RV Country give you a local option for follow-up work.
Financing and timing
All four dealerships offer financing, but get pre-approved with your own bank or credit union before you walk the lots. A number in hand changes the conversation and keeps you from stretching for a coach that does not fit your budget. Fall and winter are slower months on Oregon lots, and sales staff tend to be more flexible when the weather turns. That is also a good time to test the furnace and look for leaks, which matter more here than in drier states. Plan the walk-through at delivery carefully and budget an hour or two for it.
