About Tom Schaeffer's Camping and Travel Center
Tom Schaeffer's Camping and Travel Center sits just south of Cabela's in Shoemakersville. They've been family owned for 70 years and carry new RVs from Grand Design, Forest River, Prime Time, Keystone, and Thor Motor Coach, along with used units. You'll find travel trailers, fifth wheels, toy haulers, and Class A, B, and C motorhomes on the lot. Reviewers keep mentioning the sales staff by name. Gabby, Fred, Jim, and Sean come up for being knowledgeable and never pushy. One shopper noted Gabby didn't try to steer them toward a more expensive unit. Walkthroughs get praised too, with Bob and Tom called thorough. Financing is handled on site and reviewers say it's explained clearly. Service and parts are part of the operation. One reviewer had warranty work done over two winters so they wouldn't miss camping season, and the shop caught roof issues to report to the manufacturer. With a 4.5 rating across more than 1,100 Google reviews, it's a busy place. Stop by if you're comparing lots in the area.
