About Mountaineer Vanworks
Mountaineer Vanworks is a van conversion shop in Summersville, West Virginia. They build and sell converted vans set up for mobile living, and they take on fully custom builds on other vehicles for travel and off-grid use. Only one Google review so far, but it's a strong one. A buyer picked up a van secondhand from a family who'd had it built here, and after 2.5 years reported no leaks, no electrical trouble, and no parts failing. That owner also called the interior layout clever and space efficient, and said people compliment the craftsmanship. The shop answered questions and shared knowledge down the line, even for someone who wasn't the original customer. Parking is wheelchair accessible. Hours are posted, so check them before you drive over. If you want a van laid out for off-grid travel or have your own vehicle in mind for a build, this is the kind of place to stop in and talk through it.
