About Dixie Camper & Marine Sales Inc
Dixie Camper & Marine sits just outside the Charlotte area in Albemarle, selling campers and boats and running service and parts out of the same lot. The family-owned shop has been at it since 1971. On the camper side, the lot carries Astoria travel trailers plus a mix of pre-owned units. Reviewers who bought used campers mention Preston by name, saying he was straight with them and that the rig was ready for pickup earlier than promised. Service manager Jerry gets credit too for walking buyers through how everything works. Boaters describe a quick, easy buying process, and the brands listed include G3 Boats, War Eagle, Sylvan pontoons, Yamaha outboards, and LoadRite trailers. Not every review is a happy one. A couple of buyers describe repeated problems after purchase, and one writes about a slow deposit refund. It is a small place, as one reviewer puts it, but several say they were treated better here than at bigger lots. If you are cross-shopping campers and boats, this is one stop instead of two.
